Views of Pilot and Index Peaks
Pilot Peak (the pointy one) is a glacial horn, a pyramid of rock carved by four glaciers. Shorter Index Peak (to the right) was also carved by glaciers, but it looks more like a fist. Both are best viewed from a marked turnoff from the byway that leads to an overlook with grand views all around.
